Born in 1995, Dienka grew up on a farm near Kroonstad in a family that appreciates the arts.

She is currently busy with her third year of studies in BA Fine Arts at the University of the Free State. She specialises in printmaking, and intends to do her honours degree in 2017.

She is fond of different textures and colours, and uses elements from their farm in her artwork to create something of a sentimental nature.
